DL landed BET's SOB b4 studio 60 went belly up (if u dont know u wont know) but I do. and dl was just part of an ensemble show that got cancelled (thats the nature of the business) there was no piggybacking. GIMME A BREAK, AS FAR AS A PAINFUL PERIOD IN OUR HISTORY! you are puttin' too much on the comments he made. I WOULD CALL THE RODNEY KING SITUATION A PAINFUL PERIOD IN OUR BLACK HISTORY, NOT THIS! YOU ARE READING TOO MUCH INTO THIS. LAY DOWN AND TAKE A BREATH!EXHALE!! AS FAR A CHEAP LAUGH, HES A COMEDIAN!!!! DAH!!!! oh and by the way, Don Imus is getting his job back!!! so what did the protest really accomplish?!!! Dl did not agree with what Imus said, he just said hes allowed the FREEDOM OF SPEECH! so that means to me so is DL. He said what he said and hes a black man with NAPPY HEAD!AND DAUGHTERS! and female relatives that play basketball with nappy heads!.soooo whats your point? if you dont believe in freedom of speech, thats on you. I feel you can say what you want and if their are consequences than so be it, either you believe in freedom of speech or you dont! but there are more seriuos things in life to be protested about, LIKE THE WAR! Hughley's latest venture was canceled so he tried to piggyback on a painful period in our history by attempting to get a laugh on the cheap and THAT. WAS. UGLY! Apparently after Studio 60 went belly-up, DL landed at BET, the bastion of black empowerment ( NOT!). His new show on BET is called S.O.B., a hidden camera reality show. Ask Viacom, the owner of BET, if this is the kind of message it wants to send to African American women and girls. What about our daughters?
